The
hp 39gs, hp 40gs and the older models (hp 39g+, hp 39g, hp 40g, hp 38g) are
great calculators but to use them effectively you really need
to have the tools, information and programs that you can find everywhere on this
site.
This website is dedicated to helping users of those models.
Their ability to use
aplets make them an invaluable tool for students of mathematics.
If you need to learn how to obtain, download and use these aplets then see
the Help page above. If
you'd like to see what's available then click on the
Aplets
link. Need software? See the
Utilities section. |

Someone's
brought out an iPhone
version of the EMU48 emulator for the 38G & 39G. The usual problems
still hold about the 39gs not being available for emulation because HP
never released the core files for versions after the 39G. Still, the 39G
has most of the abilities you'll need. I've not tried it because I don't
own an iPhone. Feedback would be appreciated from someone who'd like to be
a guinea pig. :-)
Originally
I stated here that the Connectivity software and the ADK39 didn't
work on Windows Vista. The latest news is that this seems to be no longer
the case.
Update: Writing now in June 2009, I've recently helped a couple
of my students to install the Connectivity and ADK onto laptops that
were running Vista. Both software packages installed and ran correctly
so it may be that Vista has been updated since writing the paragraph
above and the problem no longer exists.
I'm still being told that HP has a project in
development to bring out a
combined Connectivity/Note Editor/Programming Tool and as soon as it is
released I'll post the news here. I've seen beta versions of it but it's
being held up for some reason. Don't hold your breath. |

As always I appreciate feedback. Is there something that you feel should be there and isn't?
